If you’re thinking about hiring us to shoot your head-shots or your family portraits, here are a few things to keep in mind about the time of day, location options, and more.
Q. What’s included with a photo shoot package?
A. Each package includes several high-res digital downloads of your best individual, couple, or family photos.
- Light retouching included
- Heavy retouching available upon request (at an additional charge)
Q. What locations are best for photo shoots?
A. Of coarse, you’re more than welcome to request a specific location, however, I’ve also listed a few of our favorite locations around Chattanooga. To see these locations in action, visit our Outdoor Portrait Locations page for some on-location shots.
- Offering outdoor couple and family sessions only. Studio sessions are currently unavailable.
- If you opt for a scenic location (without shade), we will most likely need to shoot approximately 1 hour before sunset, weekdays or on the weekend.
- Keep in mind that it’s best to choose a location that we can get to easily (by car or on foot). Nobody likes sweaty photo shoots!
- If locations outside of Downtown Chattanooga are requested, travel fee to be provided upon request.
- If multiple outdoor locations are requested, travel fee to be provided upon request.
Q. What time of day is best?
A. Approximately 1 hour before sunset.
- Evening (Golden Hour) photo shoots are recommended.
- If you have a shady, tree-covered photo shoot location in mind, we can most likely get away with a morning or midday (solar noon), weekend photo shoot.
Q. Can we shoot in the rain?
A. Unfortunately not. Cloudy days can make for some great lighting, however, if there’s rain in the forecast, the shoot will most likely be cancelled.
- Photo shoots are weather permitting so if you’re in a time crunch, it’s best to schedule as soon as possible just in case we need to postpone the photo shoot.
Q. Are hair and makeup provided?
A. Hair and makeup are available upon request (add $100+/person) and must be paid directly to the makeup artist at or prior to the photo shoot.
